~ St. Christine's Prayer Shawl Ministry ~

Calling all Knitters and Crochetiers!

St. Christine’s Shawl Ministry offers shawls, caps and scarves for the benefit of parish members, bringing much warmth and comfort to those coping with suffering and/or loss, as well as to those celebrating joyful life events! Once our parish needs are met, the main recipient of these lovingly created items is the Dana Farber Brigham & Women’s Cancer Center at South Shore Hospital.

If you knit and/or crochet and wish to be part of St. Christine’s Shawl Ministry, but are unable to attend the meetings held every other Sunday 1-3 p.m. Join us as an at- home crafter. Even 9 x 9 knitted or crocheted squares help create blankets for theneedy and/or homeless. Beginners wishing to learn to knit or crochet, we are ready and willing to teach you! For more information, you may contact: Judith Casullo at (781) 834-4681 or Maryellen Mastriani at (781) 834-3420

Blessing Prayer For The Knitters of our Prayer Shawls
Gracious and loving God, be present here as we crochet and knit these prayer shawls and enjoy each other's company. We ask for Your blessing upon our hands, our yarn and our needles and help us bring comfort and joy to those who will receive these mantels. As we light our candle, Dear Lord, we ask You to be with us in holy darkness and in transforming light. Please look with favor upon our humble endeavors. Amen
